acl2 shows the same problems, with Build-Depends: gcl ( >= 2.6.5-1 ), libgmp3-dev, libncurses5-dev, libreadline4-dev, binutils-dev, emacs21 | emacsen, debhelper ( >= 4 ), tetex-bin, tetex-extra, tetex-base specifically, it doesn't complain about gcl and debhelper.
