Hello Tony, In Debian bug #280277 you reported a problem with a samba machine where the upgrade to 3.0.7 or 3.0.9 broke the behaviour of winbind and for instance "getent passwd" not reporting previously valid users anymore. Do you still experience this bug with samba 3.0.14a-3 or later? This version has proven very stable in ragrds with winbind and we deeply suspect that this bug is away for a while.
