Bug#286154: msttcorefonts: please rename to ttf-mscorefont
Hello Martin-Éric and Thijs, IMHO the binary package should be renamed to 'ttf-mscorefonts' (i.e. plural) or even simplier 'ttf-corefonts' without the 'ms' abbreviation. Cheers, Fabian

And searching for truetype fonts is better done using debtags than by trying to match the package name, if you ask me...? plural) or even simplier 'ttf-corefonts' without the 'ms' abbreviation. I think corefonts would be too generic: the relation with MS is clear and identifies which fonts this concerns. Thijs -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#286154: msttcorefonts: please rename to ttf-mscorefont
Hello Martin-Éric, To make it easier to locate the package and to follow the existing naming convention for TrueType font packages, would it be possible to rename the binary package created in debian/control to ttf-mscorefont (the source package name can remain the same)? By doing this, the binary should also Conflict with and Replace the old package name. Thank you for your report. I'll consider it, but not right before the etch release (I've only just adopted this package). There's of course a point that this package doesn't actually contain the fonts. But I'll see about that after Etch. Thijs signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part
