Bug#300439: FTBFS?

I can't reproduce Roland's FTBFS.  I just ran:

        apt-get source sformat
        rm sformat*
        cd sformat-3.5
        pdebuild
        pdebuild

Its an i386 sid chroot.

I suspect that building twice causes the problem somehow, but cannot
reproduce it, with pbuilder, or dpkg-buildpackage.
