It still happens exactly as in the bug:

But Brendan said earlier that it's normal for distribution-installed modules,
so I expected an example for some locally-installed module.

Eugene some locally-installed module.

Right, sorry.  But I have meanwhile completely transitioned to python,
so I don't have any modules ready now.  FWIW, bug 417999 played a major
part in nudging me toward the switch ...
