Bug#311727: /usr/share/perl5/Munin.pm: munin-cron causes lots, of mails (through Munin.pm)

2007-09-27 Thread Nicolai Langfeldt
Hi,

Upstream r1155 should fix at least one cause of mail messages. There
has been multiple causes for them, due to logging to un-opened files and
the like, but I cannot find the changeset right now, I suspect this
latter made it into 1.2.5 though.

The munins I run on home server and laptop right now does not generate
emails at least :-)

Regards,
  Nicolai

Bug#311727: /usr/share/perl5/Munin.pm: munin-cron causes lots of mails (through Munin.pm)

2005-06-02 Thread Sven Mueller
Package: munin
Version: 1.2.3-1
Severity: normal
File: /usr/share/perl5/Munin.pm

munin-cron causes pretty many mails to be sent on my system. I have no
idea why this might happen (my config really is pretty much
straight-forward), but this is the message which appears in almost any
of those mails (apart from a relatively rare locking error from
munin-graph or munin-html - which could be avoided if munin-cron would
only call them when not already runrning):

Use of uninitialized value in pattern match (m//) at
/usr/share/perl5/Munin.pm line 397.

From a short look at the code, I can't tell how this happens.
If you want to take a look at the pages I'm generating, take a look at
https://mail.incase.de/munin/incase.de/mail1.incase.de.html

BTW: I have no idea why the smart temperature thingie doesn't work as
expected. Perhaps this is related, so here is what I added to munin.conf
regarding this graph:

smart_hda.graph no
smart_hdb.graph no
# combined graphs
smart_temp.graph_title SMART Temperatures
smart_temp.graph_order hda_temp=smart_hda.Temperature_Celsius
hdb_temp=smart_hdb.Temperatur_Celsius
smart_temp.graph_vlabel °C
smart_temp.graph_category SMART
smart_temp.hda_temp.cdef hda_temp,10,/
smart_temp.hda_temp.draw LINE1
smart_temp.hdb_temp.cdef hdb_temp,10,/
smart_temp.hdb_temp.draw LINE1

according to the docs, this should work.
