hi

when fig2dev generates EPS from FIG, it includes the username and
email address of the person who generates the EPS.

This is a very bad idea: suppose that the author of the
picture may wish to be anonymous, and instead (unknowingly to him)
transfig inserts his/her identity in the file.

For example, I work often as a reviewer for scientific papers; when I prepare
a review (which should be anonymous) I may decide to include
a picture: in this case I do not want that my name appears in it.

Similarly, when a scientific paper is presented to
a big conference, usually it is sent w/o the authors name, and
the reviewers do not know the names of the authors (*): all this
is useless,if transfig adds the authors name with every picture
that is included in LaTeX file.

ps (*) even though sometimes it is easily guessed ... :-)
