Package: debconf Version: 1.4.52 Severity: important
Debconf offers several interfaces, including gnome. But when it tries to use the gnome interface, it finds that it can't and wonders if libgnome2-perl is not installed. (It is not.) But it neither offers to install it nor (better) switches back to the dialog frontend with a note about how to change the setting later once I install libgnome2-perl if I so choose. The result is that some packages are not configured. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-686 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages debconf depends on: pn debconf-i18n | debconf-englis <none> (no description available) ii perl-base 5.8.7-3 The Pathologically Eclectic Rubbis Versions of packages debconf recommends: ii apt-utils 0.5.28.6 APT utility programs -- debconf information: * debconf/frontend: Gnome * debconf/priority: medium -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
