Package: kernel-package Version: 9.008 Severity: normal I've configured generic SCSI and IDE/ATAPI CD as modules.
make-kpkg kernel_image will cause my modules to be built (drivers/scsi/sg.o) but when I install the resultant .deb package, there's no file in /lib. Should be in "/lib/modules/(version)/kernel/drivers/scsi/sg.ko". Several others like that missing from scsi. May be from elsewhere. They may not be needed for boot, but I built them because I need them later, and I expected them to be included with the kernel image. I'm new to kernel-package, as I've always preferred doing it by hand as it was easy enough. But now, I figured I'd try make-kpkg, and it is handy to have a package. If this is no bug and I need to read some docs, please tell me specifically which ones. :-) Leif -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-9-2005.09.27+00 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages kernel-package depends on: ii dpkg 1.13.11.0.1 package maintenance system for Deb ii dpkg-dev 1.13.11 package building tools for Debian ii gcc [c-compiler] 4:4.0.1-3 The GNU C compiler ii gcc-3.3 [c-compiler] 1:3.3.6-10 The GNU C compiler ii gcc-4.0 [c-compiler] 4.0.2-1 The GNU C compiler ii make 3.80-11 The GNU version of the "make" util ii perl 5.8.7-5 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction Versions of packages kernel-package recommends: ii bzip2 1.0.2-10 high-quality block-sorting file co ii libc6-dev [libc-dev] 2.3.5-6 GNU C Library: Development Librari -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
