2.6.17 is in sid. use that. that was the basis on my question.
Don't use rc3.

I tested it with rc3 becuase when I did 2.6.17 was not here yet. Now I have upgraded to 2.6.17 and I have the exact same problem, though I won't report it because it's a known one : bcm4318 is not supported
