When I upgraded to 2.6.16, the hostap module stopped loading on card insert
of a D-Link DWL-650. By applying the below patch to 2.6.16 hostap_cs, which
restores one of the card IDs from 2.6.15, I've got
Package: udev
Version: 0.087-2
Severity: normal
I don't know for sure whether this is a udev issue, but I think it is based
a log entry (below).
Under 2.6.16, udev seems to note that *something* has happened (see below),
but it fails to load the proper modules, and the inserted pcmcia device is
reassign 358656 linux-2.6

It's not or it would say so in the log.
Deprecated does not mean does not work anymore.
