Package: watchdog Version: 5.2.4-5 Severity: normal
Hi, I test (with the option -q) the Watchdog package on a Web server, it is connected to the network by an Ethernet interface (eth0, IP : 213.223.240.201). I use the options : ping = 213.223.240.201 ping = 127.0.0.1 #interface = eth0 I have two consoles open on the server with SSH : - one with a "tail -f /var/log/syslog", - the other with a top command. A few seconds after the start of the watchdog daemon, I have these error messages : Apr 10 16:29:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: starting daemon (5.2): Apr 10 16:29:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: int=10s realtime=yes sync=no soft=no mla=24 mem=1 Apr 10 16:29:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: ping: 213.223.240.201 Apr 10 16:29:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: ping: 127.0.0.1 Apr 10 16:29:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: file: /var/log/messages:1407 Apr 10 16:29:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: pidfile: /var/run/syslogd.pid Apr 10 16:29:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: interface: no interface to check Apr 10 16:29:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: test=none(0) repair=none alive=none heartbeat=none temp= none [EMAIL PROTECTED] no_act=yes Apr 10 16:36:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: network is unreachable (target: 213.223.240.201) Apr 10 16:36:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: network is unreachable (target: 127.0.0.1) Apr 10 17:29:13 hastur watchdog[24542]: network is unreachable (target: 213.223.240.201) Apr 10 17:29:13 hastur watchdog[24542]: network is unreachable (target: 127.0.0.1) Apr 10 17:29:28 hastur watchdog[24542]: network is unreachable (target: 213.223.240.201) Apr 10 17:29:28 hastur watchdog[24542]: network is unreachable (target: 127.0.0.1) Apr 10 17:29:43 hastur watchdog[24542]: network is unreachable (target: 213.223.240.201) Apr 10 17:29:43 hastur watchdog[24542]: network is unreachable (target: 127.0.0.1) Apr 10 17:29:58 hastur watchdog[24542]: network is unreachable (target: 213.223.240.201) Apr 10 17:29:58 hastur watchdog[24542]: network is unreachable (target: 127.0.0.1) It is strange, I can ping the IP 213.223.240.201 and 127.0.0.1 ?!!
