Package: watchdog
Version: 5.2.4-5
Severity: normal

Hi,

I test (with the option -q) the Watchdog package on a Web server,
it is connected to the network by an Ethernet interface
(eth0, IP : 213.223.240.201).

I use the options :
ping = 213.223.240.201
ping = 127.0.0.1
#interface = eth0

I have two consoles open on the server with SSH :
- one with a "tail -f /var/log/syslog",
- the other with a top command.

A few seconds after the start of the watchdog daemon,
I have these error messages :

Apr 10 16:29:41 hastur watchdog[24542]: starting daemon (5.2):

It is strange, I can ping the IP 213.223.240.201 and 127.0.0.1 ?!!

Regards.
