Indeed, you are right. I tried 0.98b-1 and 0.97-3. Both showed the same problem. Then I got aware that xsane prints via 'lpr'. So I tried 'xpdf' which also prints via 'lpr' and it failed in the same way. Then I tried lpr text.txt and surprise, surprise, even this fails with duplicated size! I usually print from another PC on that same printer. This was the reason why I didn't notice the degradation in the print system. Printing from the other PC still works as it should be. I checked it again. So you can close or reject this bug or whatever seems appropriate. Or is there a way that I can do it myself? Regards, Ingo --

Package: xsane Version: 0.99+0.991-1 Severity: important When trying to copy an A4 page, it is printed with duplicate size so that just a half of the page is output. When setting the zoom factor to 0.5, the output size is about correct (same as the original), but the page is shifted so that still just a half of the page is output. The scan looks fine in the preview window. When scanning (save) and printing with gimp the output is fine without any size/zoom adjustments whatsoever. So I guess the problem is on the print side. I am using a HP Laserjet 4L with CUPS. Changing the resolution for grayscale didn't help (I encountered this problem while scanning in grayscale).
