I can't give detailed information immediately as the affected system is my main work one, but I can confirm that I see random hangs (not necessarily at boot, but typically within a few hours of it) on a Via KT133 board. I will try and boot into it later in the week/this weekend to try and acquire some more useful information. linux-image-2.6.16-2-k7 2.6.16-18 works fine on the same system.
