The problem is quite simple: No sound. The card appears to have
been detected correctly (see below). I am also part of the audio group:

groups=20(dialout),24(cdrom),25(floppy),29(audio),1000(ig25)
alsamixer and gnoma-alsamixer agree that the volume is larger
than zero, but nothing works.
