Your message caused the Debian bug tracker to mark this bug as fixed in 
the kmail Debian package version 4:3.5.9-2.  I downloaded the source 
package of that version and looked, but it doesn't look as if the 
upstream fix was in that version.  However, this bug report should be 
closed only when the fix has actually reached a package version that is 
part of Debian.

Can you please verify that the bug is fixed in kmail 4:3.5.9-2?  Otherwise 
I am going to reopen the bug report.

Please reopen it. I did mistake and forgot that it is committed to trunk 
which is not yet part of Debian package source.
