Hi, this is an old bug and I don't know if is still reproducible, but is
related to gkrellmwireless and not to gkrellm so there's nothing I can
do, since May 2007 the submitter haven't sent feedback info so I
couldn't confirm that even the submitter can

Yes, I does believe this is a problem with gkrellmwireless since my
system is very like yours but no wireless and I had never got any error
like yours.
You should try without the gkrellmwireless plugin on and then let me
know if the problem persists,

I am running Debian Etch with gkrellm, gkrellm-x86info (0.0.2-7) and
gkrellmwireless (2.0.3-1). My wireless-system consists of ipw2200 with
wpasupplicant. I'm just using fluxbox as windowmanager and my .xinitrc
looks like this:
