Package: iceweasel 2.0.0.1+dfsg-4 Version: 2.0.0.3-1 Dear all,
I can reproduce this bug on a fresh Etch (stable) install. It happens when typing some non-ascii characters in the search toolbox, and iceweasel tries to guess the end of the word. As a consequence, it does not happen if the non-ascii character is input within an absurdly long word, as in that case there is no suggestion. It also happens much less frequently when making a Deb Search, as the guessing system is less agressive in that case. During the freeze, no other X11 window is accessible, this is very annoying. Luckily, the keyboard is accessible, and killing firefox-bin in the console unblocks the system. I am therefore increasing the severity of this bug. It is very likely that non-english speakers will freeze their system with this bug.
