Package: samba-common Version: 3.0.24-3 Severity: minor I recently noticed the following error message, after rebooting for a kernel update.
invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/samba not found. It turned out to be caused by /etc/dhcp3/dhclient-enter-hooks.d/samba, since I don't have the samba package installed on this machine. Please consider adding "--quiet" to the invoke-rc.d command, which will suppress this unnecessary error message. /usr/sbin/invoke-rc.d --quiet samba reload Thanx! -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.20.3 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages samba-common depends on: ii debconf 1.5.13 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcap1 1:1.10-14 support for getting/setting POSIX. ii libcomer 1.39+1.40-WIP-2006.11.14+dfsg-2 common error description library ii libkrb53 1.4.4-7 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libldap2 2.1.30-13.4 OpenLDAP libraries ii libncurs 5.5-5 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libpam-m 0.79-4 Pluggable Authentication Modules f ii libpopt0 1.10-3 lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libreadl 5.2-2 GNU readline and history libraries samba-common recommends no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
