I noticed that when transcend is minimised it uses more CPU (100%) than
when maximised (45%). I also notice that small transcend windows use
more CPU (100%) than when maximised (45%). I have an Intel GPU and an

I didn't know transcend could be fullscreen (and there doesn't seem to
be a shortcut key for that). I just mean the metacity/gnome definition
of maximise - resize to cover as much of the screen as
