I have tested, successfully, "-a1" and "-a3" on my T61

Machine is unknown.
This machine can be identified by:
sys_vendor   = "LENOVO"
sys_product  = "7661A56"
sys_version  = "ThinkPad T61"
bios_version = "7LET39WW (1.09 )"


BTW : Lenovo T61 have lots of Machine types with Intel GM965
