I also have this problem on two i386 machines, with 2.3.x and with
2.4.0.rc1, also with German language (Austria).
Workaround:

Start OOo directly from the menu so that no file is opened, then type a
few letters. After that you can open all files without problems.

I installed libhyphen0 2.3.1-1 from unstable and openoffice.org still
crashes when opening the document above.
This bug seems to be related to Bug #465767. I can also reproduce the
bug with a couple of other documents.
I'm using openoffice.org 2.3.1-5 on lenny/testing.
