Thanks for reproducing the problem - I can confirm it here.
I had prepended dbus-launch because the Bonobo environment in which
the application runs does not inherit the user's dbus settings, so
Epiphany got rather antsy (try running the applet without it and see).

I discovered another behavior, which probably is a bug. When double
clicking on a bug, most of the time (not always, but very often),
epiphany says:
