Package: kvm Version: 60+dfsg-1 Severity: normal
My kvm host is a Dell with an Opteron processor. The host is a Debian sid. Installation (of etch via netinst) went fine but, after upgrading the host to sid, the kernel 2.6.18-6-amd64 boots but cannot mount the root. Here is the complete log: Bootdata ok (command line is root=/dev/hda1 ro console=ttyS0,115200) Linux version 2.6.18-6-amd64 (Debian 2.6.18.dfsg.1-18etch1) ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 4.1.2 20061115 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.1-21)) #1 SMP Sun Feb 10 17:50:19 UTC 2008 BIOS-provided physical RAM map: BIOS-e820: 0000000000000000 - 000000000009fc00 (usable) BIOS-e820: 000000000009fc00 - 00000000000a0000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000000e8000 - 0000000000100000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 0000000000100000 - 000000007fff0000 (usable) BIOS-e820: 000000007fff0000 - 0000000080000000 (ACPI data) BIOS-e820: 00000000fffbd000 - 0000000100000000 (reserved) DMI not present or invalid.
