 Hi,

is this bug still reproducible for you with gvfs 1.0.3 in unstable?

Well, I've changed laptops in the meantime (the LCD on the old one
broke), but just to check, I've installed and tested the gvfs in testing
(1.0.3-3) on my new laptop, and at least this version works there. Thanks.

Bug#486098: gvfs: doesn't work at all

2008-06-13 Thread Ove Kaaven
Package: gvfs
Version: 0.2.4-1
Severity: important

I'd make this grave or something, but I suppose it's possible that it
mysteriously works for someone else.

For me, it hasn't been able to do diddly squat ever since I decided to try
it (the remote-files-on-fuse thing sounded tempting), probably a few moons
ago.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gvfs-mount ftp://ftp.debian.org
Error mounting location: volume doesn't implement mount
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gvfs-mount sftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Error mounting location: volume doesn't implement mount
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gvfs-mount file:///home
Error mounting location: volume doesn't implement mount
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gvfs-ls sftp://people.debian.org
Error: Operation not supported
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gvfs-ls ftp://ftp.debian.org
Error: Operation not supported
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gvfs-cat http://www.debian.org
gvfs-cat: http://www.debian.org: error opening file: Operation not supported

and of course, like this I can't even try the fuse parts.
