Hi,

it's not impossible to update libc6 on x86_64 if nspluginwrapper is
installed :

apt-get -f install

Suggested packages:

2 not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B/4183kB of archives.
After unpacking 0B of additional disk space will be
used.

That's a bug of nspluginwrapper, reassigning the bug.

Bug#492958: libc6: fails to install if nspluginwrapper is installed

2008-07-30 Thread Rob Andrews
Hi,

Could you please send me the output of:

dpkg -l nspluginwrapper
dpkg -s nspluginwrapper

I've seen an error like this before and it was due to using alien to convert
a Red Hat/Fedora package to Debian format and using that.

FWIW, I've recently updated libc6 successfully with nspluginwrapper
installed so suspect use of alien.

Kind regards,
rob.
