This old wishlist bug should probably be closed. Since then, libaqbanking-data installed size has been reduced from 15.8 MB to 4 MB, and nowadays disks / flash memory have much more space, even for smartphones. FYI, when I reported the bug, this was a 10 GB disk (with only 3.5 GB for the system).
