More exactly:
acpid is starting correctly, but dies when machine is running several days dies.

Exit of acpid is caused by
pkill -SIGUSR1 acpid > /dev/null || true
in /etc/logrotate.d/acpid

invoke-rc.d --quiet acpid reload > /dev/null
instead doesn't kill the service and seems to work for me
