Package: pidgin Version: 2.4.3-2 Severity: normal The warning for a self-signed certificate explains the problem, and offers three buttons: View Certificate..., Reject, and Accept. This encourages people to accept the certificate without ever viewing it; it takes one click to accept, but three to view the certificate and then accept. While you could reasonably reject a certificate without reading it (for instance, if you didn't expect a self-signed certificate), it doesn't make sense to accept a certificate without reading it. Why not show the certificate information directly in the dialog?
