OK. I tried this: Debian GNU/Linux testing Lenny - Official Snapshot i386 NETINST Binary-1 20080901-09:34 Now I can boot without using irqpoll with other sata ports than 5 and 6 (I used 1 and 2). So it seems to be fixed. So far the only distro that has worked
