Bug#508993: ccache: Please provide with CCACHE_MAX_FILES and CCACHE_MAX_SIZE
Cyril Brulebois cyril.bruleb...@kerlabs.com (17/12/2008): it'd be nice to be able to specify both -F/-M through environment variables, instead of having to use a wrapper; supporting both CCACHE_MAX_FILES and CCACHE_MAX_SIZE shouldn't be very hard to implement, I guess. Oh, OK, those options actually set the limits permanently. I didn't notice this at first sight since I didn't find any obvious settings under ~/.ccache, but looking at the implementation (stats_set_limits() in stats.c), the setting is stored in the “stats” files. I guess you could close this bug, or leave it open until you add “permanently” in the manpage, which I believe might help people get it right. :) Cheers, -- Cyril Brulebois signature.asc Description: Digital signature
