Hi, yes, please don't depend on gconf. Isn't the gconf stuff confined in some specific plugins, anyway? So these plugins could be moved to a separate package gstreamer0.10-plugins-gconf. gstreamer0.10-plugins-good could still recommend that package and most users wouldn't know the difference.
