After upgrading to nfs-common 1:1.1.5-2 it seems nfs can only be mounted when "-o nfsvers=2" is explicitly added. Kernel has nfs v2 and v3 enabled as kernelmodule (2.6.29.1 but 2.6.28.9 has the same behaviour).
