Bug#525229: bow: Should this package be removed?
severity 525229 normal reassign 525229 ftp.debian.org retitle 525229 RM: bow -- RoM; inactive upstream, low popcon thanks On Wed, Apr 22, 2009 at 11:56:00PM -0400, Barry deFreese wrote: Package: bow Version: 20020213-10 Severity: normal User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: proposed-removal Dear Maintainer, While reviewing some packages, your package came up as a possible candidate for removal from Debian, because: * Out of date. (Last maintainer upload was 2005). * Possibly inactive maintainer. * Upstream appears inactive since at least 2002. * Fairly low popcon Well, the package is not out of date since it the latest upstream is provided. However, I agree that it is not that much use and could probably be removed from Debian. Pray tell, why do you say Possibly inactive maintainer.? If you disagree and want to continue to maintain this package, please just close this bug and do an upload also fixing the other issues. What other issues? The BTS is clean. I'm going to ask for the removal of this package, anyway, but I'n curious as to why those statements are made.
