Bug#525522: RM: eel2 -- ROM; obsolete, no rdeps, now in nautilus

2009-05-16 Thread Julien Valroff
Hi Josselin,

nautilus-open-terminal 0.10 was finally released yesterday.

The NEWS file states:
* Depend on eel, gio, gnome-vfs and recent glib (Paolo Borelli,
Mike Auty)

I would appreciate your help on how dealing with such issues - I guess
libeel2-dev should still exist?!

Cheers,
Julie

Bug#525522: RM: eel2 -- ROM; obsolete, no rdeps, now in nautilus

2009-04-25 Thread Josselin Mouette
Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal

Hi,

in GNOME 2.26, the eel library is only used by nautilus. Therefore it is
now statically linked and distributed in the same source package.

Since there are no more reverse dependencies in unstable, please remove
eel2 entirely.

Thanks,

nautilus-python: libeel2-dev (= 2.6.0)
nautilus-share: libeel2-dev (= 2.10.0)

Dependency problem found.

While the broken depends are mostly just waiting for buildds to catch up, the
broken build-depends should either be fixed or documented by RC bugs before
removing the package.

Thanks for noticing, I forgot to look at the build-dependencies.

 # Broken Depends:
 meta-gnome2: gnome-core-devel
Fixed in 2.24.3~2.

 # Broken Build-Depends:
 control-center: libeel2-dev (= 2.24)
Fixed in 2.24.0.1-5.

 mail-notification: libeel2-dev (= 2.6.0)

 mlview: libeel2-dev (= 2.6.2)
#525544

 nautilus-python: libeel2-dev (= 2.6.0)
Fixed in 0.5.1-2.

 nautilus-share: libeel2-dev (= 2.10.0)
#525543

While the broken depends are mostly just waiting for buildds to catch up, the
broken build-depends should either be fixed or documented by RC bugs before
 removing the package.

All done now.
