Probably the reason of FTBFS is because you have newer version of
autoconf and libtool packages on your Sid box. I had very similar
problem under Ubuntu Jaunty.
Did you try to run `autoreconf -f` before?

It works with Courier 0.62.1. Packages will show up soon.
