It might be related to some locales that use comma for decimal sign (i.e. de_DE), but the code path doesn't show any evidence that the float number is formatted twice. Upstream wasn't particularly helpful either. (http://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=41753) Thanks in advance. -- dam
