is just a transitional package that pulls in edos-distcheck, and the
/usr/bin/edos-debcheck provided by edos-distcheck does not have this
bug (in fact, it doesn't indicate at all the number of packages).
This is a minor bug in a source-package that is no longer in unstable,
sorry but I won't fix that.
