Bug#561386: running grub-install in chroot breaks host boot (/dev/sda)

Package: grub-pc Version: 1.98~20091210-1 I want to fix a non-booting disk (/dev/sde, usb) on another host in a chroot provided by the testing rescue cd. If I run grub-install in this chroot, then it corrupts /dev/sda. On the next boot grub cannot find the config file on the host. I have to run t
