Hello,

When rebuilt in an environment with Python 2.6 as the default version, your package failed to build from source. Here are the relevant parts of the build log:

| checking for PYGTK... yes
| checking whether pygtk can be used... no
[...]
| chmod a+x
/build/user-medit_0.9.2-1.1-amd64-DCq20F/medit-0.9.2/debian/medit/usr/share/moo/language-specs/check.sh
| chmod a+x
/build/user-medit_0.9.2-1.1-amd64-DCq20F/medit-0.9.2/debian/medit/usr/lib/moo/plugins/lib/pyconsole.py
| chmod: cannot access
`/build/user-medit_0.9.2-1.1-amd64-DCq20F/medit-0.9.2/debian/medit/usr/lib/moo/plugins/lib/pyconsole.py':
 No such file or directory

Here are the relevant parts of config.log:

| configure:21778: checking whether pygtk can be used
| configure:21809: x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc -o conftest -Wall -g -O2
-I/usr/include/pygtk-2.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include
-I/usr/include/python2.6 -I/usr/include/pygtk-2.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0
-I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include/python2.6 -Wl,-z,defs conftest.c
-lffi -lgobject-2.0 -lglib-2.0 -L/usr/lib -lpython2.6 -lssl -lcrypto -lssl -lcrypto
-L/usr/lib -lz -lpthread -ldl -lutil >&5
| conftest.c: In function 'main':
| conftest.c:88: warning: unused variable 'object'
| /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lssl

You can google for "LOCALMODLIBS" to see how similar problems were fixed in other packages. If you need help with fixing this bug, don't hesitate to ask on #debian-python or debian-pyt...@lists.debian.org.
