I just tried without a Flash plugin, and couldn’t reproduce the bug

Hmm. No luck then I guess. Anything I could do, like strace it? Or maybe
settings are different -- e.g. automatically download and open must be
enabled?

Heh, didn't even consider that an option since I used to be a powerpc
user. But it's not installed either.

Maybe that's the problem, and when I don't have a plugin it thinks it
should download it?

Bug#574921: epiphany-webkit: odd behaviour with flash -- saving it repeatedly

2010-03-22 Thread Johannes Berg
Package: epiphany-webkit
Version: 2.29.90.1-2
Severity: normal

I really really don't know what this is ... in some
sense this bug report is more a plea for help ...
Sometimes (always?) when there's flash on the page
epiphany will keep downloading it over and over again
until for some reason it stops (filename getting too
long??)

It looks like the swf file is referencing itself and epiphany downloads
it each time before executing again.

What flash plugin are you using? I’m not seeing this with gnash.

Cheers,

Yeah, it doesn't ever execute though it seems?
