Subject: gnome-keyring: Dependency on libgnome-keyring needed? Package: gnome-keyring Version: 2.30.0-1 Severity: normal Tags: sid
*** Please type your report below this line *** Dear Debian folks, I upgraded from DebPkg:gnome-keyring 2.28.2-1 to 2.30.0-1 and Evolution asks me for the saved passwords, which worked before the upgrade. According to `dpkg` I still have DebPkg:libgnome-keyring0 2.28.2-1 installed. Strangely DebPkg:libgnome-keyring0 is not included in the dependencies of `gnome-keyring`. Is that intentional? I only see the following line in `changelog.Debian.gz`. [ Sebastian Dröge ] * New upstream stable release: + debian/control.in, debian/libgnome-keyring*: - Dropped libgnome-keyring package, it has its own source package now. I only get the following GNOME Keyring related message in `~/.xsession-errors`. ** (gnome-panel:3367): WARNING **: couldn't communicate with gnome keyring daemon via dbus: Method "GetSocketPath" with signature "" on interface "org.gnome.keyring.Daemon" doesn't exist Thanks, Paul -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-3-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages gnome-keyring depends on: ii dbus-x11 1.2.24-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii gconf2 2.28.1-3 GNOME configuration database syste ii libc6 2.10.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.24-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libgcr0 2.30.0-1 Library for Crypto UI related task ii libgcrypt11 1.4.5-2 LGPL Crypto library - runtime libr ii libglib2.0-0 2.24.0-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgp11-0 2.30.0-1 Glib wrapper library for PKCS#11 - ii libgtk2.0-0 2.20.0-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libtasn1-3 2.5-1 Manage ASN.1 structures (runtime) Versions of packages gnome-keyring recommends: ii libpam-gnome-keyring 2.30.0-1 PAM module to unlock the GNOME key gnome-keyring suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
