Bug#579660: vserver-debiantools: dupvserver doesn't modify hostname in hosts, hostname and motd

2010-09-04 Thread Ola Lundqvist
severity 579660 important
thanks

Hi Oliver

Sorry for a very long delay in answering this.

Good suggestion. This is actually mort important than you expect as
the hostname may actually be found in /etc/hosts, but in that case
it is overwritten with wrong data.

So raising this to important.

Upload is on the way.

 The variable FINDTOREPNAME on line 180 in /usr/sbin/dupvserver is set as:
 FINDTOREPNAME=/etc/hostname /etc/hosts /etc/motd
 It should be
 FINDTOREPNAME=$VSERVERS_ROOT/$TO/etc/hostname $VSERVERS_ROOT/$TO/etc/hosts
 $VSERVERS_ROOT/$TO/etc/motd
 As the source vserver's hostname isn't found in the host's files, the
 search/replace silently fail and the destination vserver still use the
 previous name.
