I located this info while doing research, after an upgrade to python

Jari Skip, would it be possible for you to update spambays and make a
Jari new release with asyncore included. In this way it would be Python
Jari version agnostic.
I'm taking a look. Might take me a week or so to get things sorted out.

broke spambayes training.
Build your custom 1.1a6 spambayes against python 2.5 for better results.
