The error reported by Ansgar Burchardt happens in the url_encode function of xdg-email, and is caused by the default awk being mawk instead of gawk. Here's what I get when I run exactly the same function standalone with mawk: mawk: line 15: regular expression compile failed (bad class -- [], [^]
