You're right, the forecast capabilities of Gnucash are rather limited. The developers are aware of this situation. There is also a similar feature request on UserVoice, that aims at improving the number of charts offered by Gnucash: http://gnucash.uservoice.com/forums/101223/suggestions/1539341 I will close this bug as soon as this feature request was handled completely.
