 It looks ok but the changelog is missing a Closes statement.

 I wonder if it would close the bug for the later version (1.44e-1), which is
 affected as well. My plan is to use BTS control commands instead, unless the
 changelog will do the right thing.

It'll be marked as fixed in the BTS by both versions.

 Have a nice day,

I can confirm: 1.44c works fine when compiling with sun jdk.

What is your feeling with the current package in Squeeze? We have the
following possibilities:

  - The package is mostly usable and does not need to be corrected.
  - The package is broken and needs to be:
- removed, or
- patched, or
- moved to the contrib area and depend on Sun's Java.

I suggest to patch it.
According to http://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/308826 the bug in OpenJDK
appears when dispose() is called for a hidden window.
Therefore, i suggest to remove the line setVisible(false) (line 75) in
ij/gui/YesNoCancelDialog.java:

void closeDialog() {
// useless, and raises a bug with openjdk 6: setVisible(false);
dispose();
}

After compiling with openjdk, it seems to fix the bug.

Have a nice day,
Frédéric

Hi again,

according to the upstream author, this is a problem in OpenJDK, not ImageJ,
which can be solved by using Sun's Java.

Dear Frédéric,

thanks for the report. I have confirmed that 1.44i fixes the bug,
while 1.44e (in Unstable) still contains it. This looks like a
quite annoying bug… in your usual work with ImageJ, are there many
tasks that are not affected ?

Since I could not identify which change in the source code solves this bug in
particular, it may be difficult to correct our imagej package that is to be
released with Debian 6.0 (Squeeze), which is quite frustrating… Do you have
enough informations on your side to propose a patch that would backport the
fix ?

Have a nice day,
