I'd like to ask if this bug will be treated before freeze? IMHO it was
said to be going to be treated in a few days, but no further actions
on the bug since then.

In Ubuntu, the attached patch was applied to achieve the following:

  * debian/libosmgpsmap-dev.install: Don't install la-file (Policy 10.2)

osm-gps-map ships libtool la files in dev packages. They can simply be
removed since thay are not refered to from other packages.
