Package: update-reports Severity: minor Upgrade from lenny to squeeze otherwise as expected, except complaint about not available firmware during upgrade.
Without firmware for Intel Pro 100 ethernet card, it did not work. This host is firewall, Intel card was towards internal network. So I could access Internet but had to switch /etc/apt/sources.list back and forth between install server from Internet and approx server in my intranet. Again I was annoyed about the 3 line message that probably tries to be helpful but nevertheless in no way helps me to figure out where to get that missing firmware. Is it always the firmware-linux-nonfree package? If yes, the info should advice to install that. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.1 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
