Package: ucf Version: 3.0025+nmu1 Severity: wishlist When there are no historical md5sums, or the existing file ($destsum) and the new file ($newsum) are identical, there is nothing to be done. However, when FORCE_CONFNEW is set, ucf still says:

On the other hand, it's a nice reminder to populate the directory of old md5sums...
